Not all pilots can afford to buy new kit all the time to keep up with changing tech and updates to operating systems etc. And at least the new laptop will read the old Kobo tracklogs too.

At least I don't have to lug my old laptop around with me now. It will even read and write tracklogs from the old Garmin Map 76c.

GPS Dump wouldn't even install on an Android 6.0 smart phone I have. I changed the default save location on my Android 7 phone to the one shown, but it still doesn't let me write. Even asks where you want to save the file. Installed GPS Dump on an old Android tablet. People had said the app was buggy in other threads. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still no go. All I had done was change the default location for saving tracklogs to sdcard. It will still read tracks but now I get a message when I try and write saying error missing privileges, and it won't write the files anymore. Copy to a USB and transfer to xxxx Windows 10 and you can view on Google Earth, OS Maps etc.

Thanks for all the responses, unfortunately I had tried all those things, device manager, installed USB drivers (various) selected Old Flymaster etc.Д«UT I just found a solution that works (I think) GPS Dump for Android, plug in Flymaster GPS via and OTG lead and it will read tracks and save. If you open device manager is there a 'USB serial port' listed under 'Ports (COM & LPT)'? Your settings? I should add it's the Flymaster SD NAV. All my other stuff fine too on this version. My Flymaster works fine on my Win 10 Bob using gpsdump519.
